Aruba Announces the New ACCX Exam

Aruba Networks, an HP company, announces the release of its new expert level ClearPass certification exam. Successfully completing the ACCX (Aruba Certified ClearPass eXpert) exam demonstrates a high proficiency level integrating and configuring complex ClearPass systems as found in larger enterprise environments. Like Aruba's other hands?on expert exams, ACMX and ACDX, the exam format requires a candidate to analyze the scenario requirements and to configure multiple ClearPass servers along with selected third?party components within the allotted eight?hours.

The exam scenarios aim to simulate real deployment requirements and skills. One of Aruba's senior systems engineer made this observation:

"When thinking through what's needed to meet use cases, the thoughtful and meaningful deliberation closely matches the real world consulting I do every day with our customers. It's not enough to just complete task A for example. You really need to think holistically about outcomes and differentiation of users and their devices."

An ACCX candidate must hold a current ACCP (Aruba Certified ClearPass Professional) certification to participate. Aruba offers two classes, ClearPass Essentials (CPE) and ClearPass Advanced Labs (CPA), that provide the knowledge basis needed for the exam. One year of ClearPass experience is recommended but not required.

Aruba delivers the exam at their Sunnyvale, California and Portland, Oregon offices but will expand it to other geographies.

The ACCX certification is valid for three years and is renewable by retaking the exam.
