Aruba Central Cloud AIOps licensing

By Trent Fierro, Blog Contributor

Have you noticed that getting in on the ground floor of new technology often means greater access to features and data? It makes sense as it helps accelerate adoption, and the service provider or vendor is creating a foundation on which to build. It’s rare that they’ll charge you extra for basic functionality like simple visibility or help related features, but some do.

We’ve listened to our customers and have taken a position where our Aruba Central Foundation Licensing provides a wealth of basic features that augment IT's daily tasks. For instance, when it comes to AI for IT operations (AIOps) you’ll have access to the following:

  • Network Insights for root causes and recommendations that aid in troubleshooting issues and proactively optimizing the performance of wireless, WAN and wired infrastructure.
  • AI Search or natural language queries that help with everything from quickly finding how to setup an SSID to seeing why a user may be experiencing authentication issues and more.
  • AI Assist workflows that use AI/ML to find intermittent issues, automatically initiate a packet capture for you to look at, and automatically send data to Aruba’s TAC for follow-on if needed.
  • Client Insights for the profiling and policy enforcement tagging of any connecting wireless and wired endpoints like IoT cameras and environment sensors for security and awareness purposes. And traffic flow visibility per client to identify normal versus malicious behavior.

While there are some features that require advanced licenses, we believe that we’ve set the bar for AIOps in our Foundation Licensing that will fortify the efficiency of your team. As more of you work from home, IT teammates leave, or new problems are encountered, you’ll need AI and automation to pave the way to faster resolution as well as gaining insights to possible improvements.

If you’re looking at cloud-managed networking solutions, make sure to look beyond legacy alerting and analytics or gimmicks. Your peers are telling us they want AIOps that saves time when fighting a problem and also gives expert guidance and recommendations that help avoid issues.

Here’s a matrix that outlines where our AIOps features map to licensing today.
