By harvesting electromagnetic energy in the air, Aruba Edge partner, Wiliot, has created a battery-free Bluetooth tag that can transmit a Bluetooth signal that is received by an Aruba AP and doesn’t require additional RFID readers.
This is another example of how an Aruba AP can be leveraged as an IoT platform across multiple use cases and market segments including retail and healthcare.
As seen at NRF 2020, Aruba is the only Wi-Fi vendor in the new “Works with Wiliot” partner program. The product is currently early access with production and availability ramping up in 2020.
