Aruba @ Wi-Fi Mobility Symposium 2012 and Wireless Field Day 2

We are happy to participate in this year's Wi-Fi Mobility Symposium and Wireless Field Day events. In case you have not seen it yet, here is Aruba's press release on the topic: http://bit.ly/xWEPuL

Events are designed to bring together product vendors and independent thought leaders, creating a forum for engagement, education, hands-on experience, and feedback. Several vendors in the WLAN industry will be participating in this year's events including Aruba. This year's topics of discussion include anything about Wi-Fi and mobility: Hotspot 2.0, next-gen WLAN architectures, 802.11ac/ad, BYOD to count a few.


Wi-Fi Mobility Symposium 2012 (WSM12)


Wi-Fi Mobility Symposium is a joint production by Packet Pushers and Tech Field Day.  Event will take place in San Jose, CA and it is free to attend in person if you want to stop by and join the conversation. More details about the event can be found here. In case you cannot attend in person, you can watch the live stream at Aruba's community website Airheads Social or at Tech Field Day website. Tech Field Day team will be making the video recordings available to us shortly after the event as well. 

During the event, you can submit your comments & questions live at Airheads Social discussion board. Here is how Aruba is planning to participate at the event...

Assuming no last minute changes, Amigopod co-founder Carlos Gomez (aka. carlos) from Aruba's Network Services team will be joining the event to present on "Mobile Devices & BYOD". From Aruba's Office of the CTO, Peter Thornycroft (aka. Antar) will be there to answer questions on "Hotspot 2.0" and "Gigabit Wi-Fi" (802.11ac/ad). 

Wireless Field Day 2 (WFD2)

12 Wi-Fi and networking experts will be on a bus traveling to meet with different companies - it sure will be a fun ride for all the delegates 🙂 More details about the event and the delegates can be found here. Here is a quick overview of the Tech Field Day events from the event organizer himself - Stephen Foskett (aka. sfoskett at Airheads Social or @SFoskett on Twitter), community organizer for Gestalt IT: http://vimeo.com/31180666

Here is how Aruba is planning to participate at the event...

Assuming no last minute changes, Aruba's co-founder Keerti Melkote (aka. kmelkote) will on the second day of the event. He will talk about next generation network architecture requirements for mobility between 08:00 and 09:00 on January 27th. Following Keerti, Amigopod co-founders Carlos Gomez (aka. carlos) and Cameron Esdaile (aka. -cam-) from Aruba's Network Services team will be on between 09:00 and 10:30 and talk about BYOD - hottest topic in town! 

Last but not least, one of Aruba's founding engineers Pradeep Iyer (aka. pradeep) will join Aruba Product Manager Anupam Upadhyaya (aka.anupamu) and Aruba Technical Marketing Engineer Shashi Sastry (aka. sassy) to talk about Virtual Controller based WLANs with Instant APs. They will be presenting between 10:30 and 12:00.
